TOMORROW IS THE BIG DAY!!!

Hey everyone!!!

I am very excited as the day has finally arrived!!!  Tomorrow we will be welcoming Michel Chikwanine to our school for our special presentation.  This morning you all sounded AMAZING and I know that it's going to be awesome when we do it live tomorrow!!!!

Thanks to everyone who has contributed and helped to make tomorrow possible!  This truly is an INCREDIBLE & AMAZING class!!!  

For those coming tomorrow morning, I will be there by 7:30 ish and we can have a small bite to eat and then get the gym ready for our BIG afternoon!!!  If any parents are attending, please let them know that we would like everyone to be in the gym by 12:45pm.

I look forward to a memorable and inspirational afternoon tomorrow with all of you!!!  Let's put on an assembly that only 8C knows how to do!!!  Don't forget to wear red or black tomorrow!

2 MORE DAYS!!!

Hey everyone!!!

Only 2 more days until Michel arrives at our school!  Tomorrow morning we will have our dress rehearsal during first period....  we will practice the song and run through the organization of the assembly for Friday afternoon!

On Friday, Michel will be joining us for a private luncheon in our classroom at 11:30 - 12:00.... Lunch will be provided (chicken, potatoes, rice).  If there are any vegetarians, please let me know tomorrow morning!!!  I'm very excited for this opportunity and I hope you all get a lot out of it!!!  It will be very rewarding!

EXCITING NEWS!!!

Hey everyone!!!

I am so excited that Michel Chikwanine will be visiting our school on Friday, March 1st, 2013 for our 8C assembly on The Rights of Children!!!  I have been waiting impatiently for the confirmation to be sent by email that Michel will be coming!  Please take a look at the videos posted under the"War Brothers" tab to learn more about Michel.  We have a lot of work to do in the upcoming weeks, including designing our T-shirts, putting together the assembly, learning the song, fundraising, and so much more.  I want this to be a POWERFUL and MEMORABLE assembly where all of the students take something away from it, especially all of 8C!

This will be a very inspiring and empowering opportunity that I am sure many of you will not forget.  Michel is an incredible person with an even more incredible story.
