I would like to thank everyone (particularly parents) for making today's luncheon a successful and tasty one!!!  Without you, today's lunch would have not been possible.  I am very appreciative and thankful for all of the support from our parents in 8C... it goes a long ways!!!

IN OUR THOUGHTS . . .

I would like to express my deepest condolences for the events that took place in a Connecticut school this past Friday.   I am sure that many of you have already heard about the horrific and senseless act of violence that was committed against not only teachers, a principal.... but to young precious children who had their whole lives ahead of them.  It has made me think of how lucky we are each and every single day... that myself and all of you wake up each morning to go to school in search of answers, questions, and to pursue our dreams.  It is a place where we feel comfortable, safe, and most importantly cared for.  For these 20 children and 6 adults, this was not the case on Friday.  

When I first heard of the events, I couldn't believe what I heard or was seeing on the television.  I can only hope that one day we can stop these events from happening altogether.

I ask that each of you take the time to reflect on just how lucky each of us is and to thank all those around us that bring us joy, love, and peace.  

LET'S KEEP THOSE THAT LOST THEIR LIVES ON FRIDAY IN OUR HEARTS!!!

This week as you know is a short week as Friday is a PA Day.  Thank you to those students who worked hard and were respectful in class this afternoon!  There are a lot of assignments due this week and next week, so let's work hard to finish them with attention to deadlines and detail.
