I hope everyone had a great time at mini-golf on Friday!  It was surprising that it was the first time mini-putting for many of you!  I am looking forward to seeing the scores on Monday and whether or not you scored a negative or positive score!

I just checked with Centennial Golf Club and they will be open this Friday so I booked us for 1:00pm.
The cost of this "math inspired lesson" will be $5.75 per person (including tax).  I will send out forms by tomorrow, which needs to be returned by WED!!!

75th Anniversary!!!!

Hey everyone!!!

Today is the 75th anniversary of The Hobbit!!!  The Hobbit, was written by JRR Tolkein exactly 75 years ago... and as many of you know the first part of the Hobbit Movie comes out this December!!!

In memory of 9/11

Today marks the 11th anniversary of the attacks on September 11th, 2001 in New York and Washington.  Today is a day of mourning to help remember all those victims who lost their lives on that horrific day!!!

To An Amazing Year!!!

It was great to see all of you back from the summer break all relaxed and excited for the Grade 8 school year!  As I mentioned today, I am VERY EXCITED to be your homeroom teacher in my first year teaching grade 8!!!  I look forward to an amazing year with all of you amazing students!

Welcome Back!!!

Hey 8Cers!!!

Welcome to 8C's Blog!!!

I want to welcome all of you back from summer vacation and into your final year of middle school.  I am very excited to have the opportunity to teach Grade 8 this year and I know that it will definitely be a memorable and exciting school year!!!

My priority for this year is to get all of you ready for high school, which is just around the corner.  So plan on working hard and being focused on your school work throughout the year.  If you are having difficulty understanding concepts taught in various subject areas, please take advantage of after-school help and ask questions when you are unclear.

I have set up this BLOG to keep our class updated on homework and assignment deadlines, as well as important dates and upcoming events.  You can also reply to the posts as often as you like!!!  I will do my best to update the blog as often as I can, so please make it a habit to check the blog throughout the week.

As I mentioned earlier, I am extremely excited to start the school year and if we all work together as a group then we will have a lot of successes and positive memories to celebrate!!!
